Good morning,
I previously posted regarding power access at French campsites on the Eurovelo 1.
Lots of advice suggested charging devices in the shower area. However, I have selected the pitch with electricity option where possible.
Does nobody travel with a converter like the one below? This is where my doubt lies.
Thank you again in advance for your wisdom – first bikepacking trip fast approaching.

I often wished there Was a small lightweight Version of this. The shower charging sucks.
I never took one though. Often asked neighbors on the pitch instead
once I a saw a cyclist with DIY adapter – it was small and it looked not safe to use at all.
I don’t see a reason to have it. There is always a normal socket somewhere in toilet or recepcion. If the campsite is busy and I don’t feel comfortable leaving my phone out of sight, I charge my devices from a power bank first, and then recharge the power bank from the socket.
Is this type of plug popular in France? I have never seen one in the wild, here it is mostly 3 phase CEE plugs in different amperages or the usual Schuko for single phase. Other than availability, the converter is totally fine. It’s just a cable with different plugs on each end, nothing to go wrong with it. Just don’t add a splitter with several kW of heaters attached on the Schuko end.
