  1. Perfect combo Jensie and the Cycling Dane. Jens continues to make cycling exciting post-retirement. I absolutely love his enthusiasm for cycling.

  2. I disagree about last stage i think they put the Hammer down only to make visma squad more wicker. And the other gc team. I think the eua team wont to destroy the group.

  3. Rock on Jensie! I think the dysfunction we're seeing from Redbull-Bora is a result of their "let them work it out on the road" philosophy. Formula 1 would be another good example. Dual leaders almost never works🤐. Seixas has impressed me as the race has gone on. I was a sceptic on starting him so young but he looks good so far. Hope he proves me wrong and can maybe challenge Pogi in the big mts. to come. When the motorbike crashed into Jen's leg guess what he said?? "Shut Up Leg"!! Cheers!

  4. Jonas is waiting for the final week to make his moves (if he can).
Seixas needs to get through this week economically, & if he manages it we'll see some fireworks from him in the final week (he has nothing to lose & everything to gain).
IDT will pace himself as he always does & will grab opportunities as they present themselves.
Remco is on his best form since years & at some point will put on a show.
Pogačar will do Pogačar & is on course to win by a country mile.
Fingers crossed that illness doesn't cause any problems (we've seen some face masks being worn ?).
    What a Tour already !!!!

  5. Pog has been the greatest cyclist in the world for years. Even in the years he finished 2nd in the TdF, he was the greatest, his SEASON was incredible. To be a true champion a cyclist MUST win races other than the TdF. To not win Flanders. Liege and the WC is not a complete palmares.

  6. This is such a great podcast. Brilliant analysis. Jens is such a great observer of what’s going on and his comments bear great weight because of his enormous experience. On top of that, it’s done in English, their second language, with such ease it’s amazing 👏👏👏

  7. Jens Voigt is very smart in his analysis of the race. He is also the author of my go to mantra at 72 yo;
Shut up legs! I wore a wristband till it rotted off that said that

  8. Didn't Trek need to have Gee/Simmons wait until it was certain Mads made it past the last hill summit to go back to the yellow jersey group in order to make an informed decision?

  9. Usvedčeny z dopingu 3 krát a tie jeho výhry na smiech postaví sa na preteky s farmármi a to si dáva že vyhral etapu.Pogimu by nemohol robiť ani posledného domestika nevrátil by sa keď by nabral vody.

  10. Enjoy listening to Jens – I've noticed in other interviews as well, that just takes over and continually talks 😊 How much does the Lipowitz/Remco situation come back to the limited number times they have raced together. They have very different personalities. Lipowitz finished 3rd last year, with little help from Roglic. Be interesting to see what develops between them.

  11. Nope.

Vinegegaard was gassed at top of tourmalet. The climb is never to the top. Never. The climb is always 500m past the top. That’s where you always can kill someone—rt after the top. Always train your hill repeats to 500m on the downhill. The magic has to be trained, mentally as well as physically—500m past

  12. Pogacar has pressure. He needs 5.
Vingegaard has pressure too tho, more really. Is he still even in the gc game anymore? Most think no, he has to prove he can win w pogacar in the race. For yrs now he has not even been close.

Del toro appears to be stronger, it is del toro who is going to force v into retirement

Wow UAE has two best gc racers in entire world. Not since la vie Claire 50 yrs since we’ve seen that

  13. Thanks Jens, finally an explanation to why UAE were pulling so hard, people were just saying nonsense that they hate racing and just want to ruin the tour, they were simply defending the team classification
