Our Baden-Baden Day Goes Wrong! Heidelberg & Rhine Cycling

In this episode we leave the beautiful surroundings of Schluchsee and make our way to Bühl, planning a day trip to Baden-Baden by train. However, we quickly discover that Baden-Baden station is much further from the town centre than expected, forcing us to rethink our plans and find an alternative route into town.

After spending the afternoon exploring the elegant spa town of Baden-Baden, we uncover a direct bus route back to Bühl. Unfortunately, the journey home takes an unexpected turn when a passenger suffers a fall onboard, resulting in police and ambulance attendance and an hour-long delay before we can continue our journey.

From Bühl we move on to Neckargemünd, our base for exploring Heidelberg. We enjoy a fantastic afternoon cycling along the Neckar River to Hirschhorn before taking the train into Heidelberg the following day to discover one of Germany’s most beautiful historic cities.

Our journey then continues to Rüdesheim am Rhein in the heart of the Rhine Valley, where we finish the vlog with a scenic bike ride along the Rhine to the picturesque town of Kaub.
