Did the Bay Area triple cross over route with some modifications, ran it on my GT Tempest 26in Mountain Bike. It was heavy and it was capable so I’m thankful that the bike and myself made it through the route. Can’t wait to build up my gravel/adventure bike.

what were your favorite bits of the route? I’ve done some of the triple crossover in sections, mostly SC mountains and east bay but I’ve yet to hit mount tam

Very cool setup. I’m building up an old GT outpost over here in the east bay and am very excited to get out. Being pretty new to the area, do you have any trail/campsite recommendations for bikepacking apart from the triple crossover?

That fog inversion at sunset from the campsite is unreal, you really do feel like you’re floating above the bay. The pink/purple alt bars on the build are wild, looks like On One or something similar. I dig that it’s not just all black everything, stands out without being obnoxious. Frame bag looks well sorted too, did you shim it forward or run it stock? I keep going back and forth on basically the same setup for some overnight loops in the east bay hills. Where’d you end up camping, somewhere off the headwaters near skyline or further south toward alice fisher? That hammock plus camp coffee combo at the end is the real move.
