America has Route 66. Australia, the Great Ocean Road. Scotland has the NC500. So why doesn’t England have an iconic road trip to call its own?
With the help of Yamaha and Eurogrip Tyres, we decided to change that.
Welcome to the Magnificent 7, a brand-new route created by the team at Adventure Bike Rider that stitches together seven of the greatest roads in England, taking in some of the most breathtaking scenery this country has to offer.
In this film, James and Billy ride the full route from start to finish to answer one simple question: can England finally stand shoulder to shoulder with the world’s most iconic road trips?
Over the next 47 minutes, you’ll follow them across the rolling moorland and mountain passes of the Yorkshire Dales, the North Pennines, and the Lake District, along the seven roads that come together to make the route.

The Tyres – 27:05
Both bikes were fitted with Eurogrip RoadHound Tyres, the rubber that kept James and Billy planted across every one of the seven roads, whatever the English weather threw at them.
The Bikes – 36:50
James rode the Yamaha Tracer 9 GT+, Yamaha’s do-it-all sports-tourer, a natural fit for a route built around fast, flowing roads.
Billy rode the Yamaha Tracer 7 GT: lighter, punchy, endlessly capable, and proof you don’t need litres of capacity to make the most of the Magnificent 7.

The South West 660 is one that I'm going to try. I'm from the South West, so looking forward to seeing how it it is. The North East 250 also looks amazing.
Jam first, no fruit. I live in Devon and I prefer the Cornish way every time. Just like I prefer Cornish pasties. Or oggies.

Northumberland 250 is a great weekend on the bike
Nice roads, but those tyres looked pretty squared off at points. £170 plus fitting for the tyres. Rather spend another 50 quid and get michelins.

Another great video. Life is all about adventures. I have recently returned to the UK after spending 15 years in Australia and New Zealand. I lived in Cumbria for many years and have ridden all the great passes. I am now living in Somerset and I have been blown away by the fantastic roads both here and in Devon. Like another contributor, I am also looking forward to riding the South Coast 660. Where are you going back to Bill? I spent time in NT, WA, NSW and Vic. Victoria has some great roads. Keep on riding!

The strange thing is I woke up this morning set for to do the magnificent 7, after a 320 mile day I’m home in the hot tub, open up you tube and this video has just published !

The Scottish NC500 is the most iconic road trip……nothing in England can come even close.
Having moved to Cumbria in 2022 from Hampshire this is my playground. You would have passed my house going down Hartside Pass into Penrith. There are some great roads in the North Pennines into Northumberland which i rode yesterday on my Himy.
Another great road in the Lakes is the road along Ullswater up to Kirkstone Pass then down the Struggle to Windermere.
Perhaps out on my Triumph Trophy today…
Amazing journey guys, how did you do on fuel? Only asking as we seen no fuel stops. Im only assuming there is plenty of stations on this route
Another great route, all of which I have ridden many times as the Dales, Lake District and North Pennines are on my doorstep as I'm based near Skipton.
I regularly ride on the backroads upto the Scottish Borders and back in a day, but may try this route next time.
Must watch but it will be very hard to beat Revolution Road
