If you thought the only options when it comes to GPS bike computers were Garmin, Wahoo, and Hammerhead think again!
Bryton’s Rider 650 blew our senior technical editor, Warren Rossitor, away with its bang per buck.
At less than half the price of the competition, yet with all the features you need from a large colour touchscreen through to connectivity to power meters, drivetrains, e-bikes, heart monitors, smart trainers and more.
This $170 or Β£140 Bryton is simply the best value high performance bike GPS computer Warren has ever tested. What GPS are you using at the moment? Let us know in the comments! π

What GPS bike computer do you use and why? Let us know! π
So what's wrong with Google maps? Clip my phone with quadlock.
And whatβs wrong with your smartphone?
Bryton is good until it isn't and then the tech support is garbage.
Except when Bryton's servers give up for 24 hours or so every other week and it's impossible to upload your rides or download routes to the device. The app struggled to connect to the device every time, I'd call it anything but quick. Lots of great features on the paper, if only they worked. This was my experience with 750 SE, returned under warranty, but the server issue affects all devices.
I can't comment on this unit but I have been using a Bryton 530 since late 2017 after my first Garmin proved inadequate. I've recently bought my wife a Bryton Rider 17 to replace her Garmin because the battery dying.
Tried one but settled with Garmin as they are just better all round
I have. Fenix 7 that I use but itβs a pain I the ass to check on the move . I use a cheap gps head unit to give me details while riding. I donβt ride with routing so on the fly it gives me what I need
is this better than a magene c506 ?
I had a Bryton and it was a huge PIA. Maps hard to load, lost rides. Big nope for me
200 pounds? What about the garmin explore?
S510 is around 220 euros. A nice inbetween price. I have one. Love it.
Bought the 650 one for Β£110 from bike inn based on this vid. Bargain and amazing. Better, clearer map and screen than garmin 530. Highly recommended
Our entire bike group except one guy is using Bryton computers. Great units!
Can you connect a power meter via BLE?
Can you sync the bryton app with the Garmin connect app ?
What about Magene?
Bought a MAGENE 706 for $225 new U.S. As good as a Garmin 850.
bought my Garmin for 350euro so that's an oke price but would consider a cheaper one if I need to replace this. the pricing is crazy high even when I love the Garmin
I have the Garmin edge 840 and itβs awful. It nowhere near as user friendly as my previous edge 810. I wish I hadnβt bought it to be honest. This Bryton unit looks good.
Nice outfit! LOL!π
Love my Bryton GPS cycling computers. I was spending way too much on Garmin. The battery life on the 810 is amazing!
Try pronouncing some Ts.

Refreshing honest review. I think there is an aspect of cycling snobbery in respect of which GPS brand you have stuck in front of you.
