A banned driver has been jailed for 12 months after leading police on a chase through Newport before hurling his Sur-Ron e-bike into the River Usk in a desperate bid to ditch the evidence.
Owen Pendree was tracked by the police helicopter, stopped with a stinger and arrested. He’s also been banned from driving for 3½ years and must pass an extended driving test before getting back behind the wheel.
