Hi all,

It’s my first post here, feel free to correct me if I do something wrong.

In the last few years I found 2 items that I don’t want to miss anymore. Now its time to combine them.

  1. G-Line which I love and carry with me whenever possible

And

  1. A Patagonia Black Hole® Mini MLC™ Pack 30L as my work and travel bag.

I’m looking for some ideas to build a internal rack for this backpack and I really hope that someone already solved this problem without destroying the backpack completely.

There is some free space in the back to hide the straps

Best will be that it is removable for flights for example.

I found a nice lightweight carrier rack at Makerworld.

I would love to avoid an external cage tbh.

So If anyone has a great idea or suggestion, please let me know.

Thank you so much!

This is a trivial problem… like super trivial.

You can disassemble a luggage frame, and use your own size rods to make it work with whatever bag. I’m partial to the veto bags.

Take the screws out, drill the rivets, then cut the tubes you need to size, refit the screws and rivet for a semi permanent solution. I’d start with using those loops on the back for the frame.

Brompton riders have typically carried backpacks with straps by setting them upright on the back rack and using the seat as a rest for the top. Typically a horizontal metal rod or wooden dowel is attached to the seat. I think you can even attach a 1 1/4 stem to the seat post and attach a support bar. If your bag is stuffed it shouldn’t sag.
