Italy’s Adige Cycle Path: Bicycle Touring Through Paradise

We begin this episode’s ride in Merano, exploring this pretty and lively city before pointing our bikes south and continuing along the fabulous Adige Cycle Path. Following the river, we are surrounded by beautiful mountains that form this lush and wide valley. Apple orchards give way to vineyards, and even though it’s now mid October, flowers are abundant, and we enjoy the summery temperatures beneath blue, cloudless skies. After an evening the lovely market town of Egna, we continue on, riding beneath towering cliffs and through an absolutely astounding landscape until we reach the city of Trento. Through more and more vineyards until we reach our Agritourismo in Calliano, a winery in a lovely village where we are treated to a bottle of their finest beneath a spectacular backdrop. We are absolutely loving Italy!
