I’ve been using the Fidlock TWIST bottle system on my Brompton G Line for a while now, and I honestly don’t think I’d go back to a regular bottle cage.
What I like most isn’t even the magnetic mechanism (which is great), it’s that it keeps the bike clean and uncluttered. The bottle snaps into place almost automatically, stays rock solid even on gravel, and comes off with a simple twist.
On the G Line it feels like it was designed from day one to be there. I also appreciate that the bottle can stay mounted even when the bike is folded. One question for those of you using Fidlock:
Do you stick with the official bottle, or have you switched to the TWIST Uni Connector so you can use any bottle (or even a can of Dr Pepper 😅)?

It’s a good product but preposterously overpriced for what it is, even by Brompton accessory standards. I got it for about half the RRP via Vinted, and it still felt like a bit of a splurge for… a water bottle and a magnetic connector.
