Impressive ascent but can we also appreciate the descent? Not sure which downhill segment to the Tourmalet is the best but Pogacar took the KOM on the downhill Strava segment called "Descente Tourmalet" with a time of 14'26", tied with Lenny Martinez. This was almost 15" faster than Tom Pidcock's descent in 2023. We all remember Pidcock's descent from the Galibier in 2022 – but is Pogacar better than Pidcock at descending just as he is better than Jonas in the alpine climbs and faster than Van der Poel on the Belgian cobbled climbs?

pogacar gache l'enjeu du tour. ce n'est plus intrressant. quand il y'a montagne, on sait d'avance à la fin qui va gagner. cela tue l'envie de regarder le tour ou tout autre competition quand pogacar est là. le giro sans lui c'etait interressant. etape 5 et je n'ai deja plus envie de continuer à suivre
