what will be the main challenges combining parts from this more modern kids bike with hub dynamo onto this older folding bike?

The Dynamo front wheel from the kids bike should bolt right onto the old folding bike. The internal gear hub rear wheel *might fit.

Good chance that things like the cranks, and seat post won’t fit though.
