I took apart and cleaned both brake calipers because my brakes were squeaking and underperforming. I cleaned the pads and rotors with isopropyl alcohol. Now the front brake performs even worse than before and does what is shown in the video when I pull on the lever.

First off, the actuation arm goes way too far. You need to release that cable, adjust the pads much closer to the rotor, and clamp the cable again with the arm in a more open position.
Loosen the cable attachment, move the inside pad in, re-adjust
It also might be time for new pads
Am I wrong or does the brake actuator show some lateral movement at the end of travel?
