The most fu**ing impressive TdF sprint victory I‘ve ever seen!
From the start I began wondering, has it ever happened before, that one single man was not allowed to go in the break. I'm not talking about GC-riders, but Asgreen just got manmarked and shot down today! Has anything like that ever happened before?
Fast forward – Liam Slock was away solo after the last little climb, he was doing really well and gave the peloton a hard time, but had that been Asgreen, I dont think they would caught him! So Merlier won by Asgreen getting manmarked from kilometer 0!!

I didn’t skip the ad and got to enjoy Patrick admitting he cares what happens to Benji. Heartwarming.
I knew the result before rewatching the finish and was like "where the feck is Merlier" and as soon as I said it I saw him flying up the road. Insane sprint. He's truly the best in the business at the moment, because not only does he have the power, but also the brains to win. Sometimes one is needed more than the other. Today it was just a pure show of strength.
Peloton desperately salvaged that stage in last 15 km for sprint. What a ride by Slock!

What’s the current rule about deviating in the sprint? I’ve seen Merlier come across on both days. Is it allowed as long as nothing happens? I thought they wanted to ban that.
