  1. Its not insane. Thats how much it should cost for a bicycle. $15,000 for a bicycle beyond STUPID. You can buy a race motorcycle or car for that much which has a freaking engine.

  2. Hopefully they get better, but my RS7, I've had ZERO supprot from XDS/XLab for parts. Trying to buy a spare hanger, xds tells me to contact a dealer, ( desipite their website saying you can order a hanger directly from them ) dealers tell me they have no ability to order any spare parts or accessories from Xlab

The wheels that came with my bike were also different than what are advertised, and was missing a stem pinch bolt, which since I couldn't get a replacement for, let me having to go buy a replacement special bolt before I could even ride it.
The included tires are also trash, and that fancy power meter crankset comes in at just shy of 1000g.

Its still a good bike, but don't fool yourself into thinking your'e getting a $5000 bike for half the price.

  3. I'm currently on the fence between the X-Lab AD8 and the Canyon Aeroad cf slx 7. With only about a $160 difference in price and the AD8 is listed at about a pound less in weight. plus a life time warranty

  4. I went into the store planning to buy a Specialized Roubaix SL8 Sport for nearly $3,900. Instead, I walked out with an RS7 for myself and an RS5 for my wife, with money left over.

We’ve put a combined 800 miles on the bikes so far without a single complaint. The cycling industry has lost its mind on pricing, and I’m glad companies are bringing some sanity back to the market. Bikes have become ridiculously expensive, especially considering how much cheaper and more accessible carbon manufacturing has become.

Several friends in my riding group have also started buying bikes and accessories directly from Chinese brands, and they’ve been holding up remarkably well.

  5. When you buy these, you get accessories which are probably worth $50 alone.

Pedals, torque tool, led rechargeable light, and water bottle cage.

  6. FYI, taking AD8(same spec in video except using 105 chainring and crank) as example, it is currently retail priced at ~$3000 usd in China. Which leaves a healthy profit margin($1500 give or take) for local US dealers.

  7. I was looking X-LAB as I've heard good things about them. I could see dealerships in the U.S. but where in the UK can you acquire one at this moment in time, or is the only option to directly order from them? RS7 looked out of stock on their website. Also, what is their after care support like?
