Absent Tadej, we would have been saying that Jonas destroyed the field. So it’s not entirely accurate to say he cracked. Tadej on the Col de la Loze in 2023 is what I call cracking.
Jonas did not crush. He also broke the previous climbing record of the Tourmalet. But Pogacar is not normal. Naively hoping this is not as it has always been in the past. But it’s like the LA era all over again.

Jonas is riding really well he’s great! Tadej is on an ENTIRE DIFFERENT level. That’s how sports are and the Visma team is weak rn. Should’ve held off of the giro.

Can’t even say Jonas got cracked, he got beat while doing around 6.3 w/kg for 45 minutes… If not for Tadej, Jonas would probably be coming in to win Tour 6 in a row
Evenepoel cannot handle defeat… he was angry because Lipowitz didn’t do a leadout for him at the finish; what is he thinking??? Watching how easily Del Toro destroyed him in the sprint, there was nothing what could have helped him beating Del Toro. And he seems to not acknowledge that Lipowitz at the Tourmalet was significantly stronger than him. So he better should focus on his performance…
Remco was pissed at Lipo. He asked Lipo to lead him out at 1km, but Lipo refused. Then Remco brought up that he rode 30km in front at Catalunya, and he asked Lipo to ride 1km, but he didn't get the help. On the other hand, I read somewhere that after the TTT, Lipo was very upset. As we all know that Remvo dropped him. I think there's drama going on. And to make matters worse, Bora management said that the road will decide, and let their leaders to duke it out on the road. That's what we saw today. I'm sure Lipo wanted to gain time not only for the podium but from Remco, so he can claim the sole leadership.
I don't think Jonas has cracked, he was on his own over 45km, fending off the chase group of the fittest GC cyclists. I would say Pogacar is at different level.
jonas didn't crack he just couldn't go any faster had he cracked the 8 guys behind led by bora would have caught him between the tourmalet and the last climb so this is just push back and Im not vlab fans particularly in case you wonder

Jonas beat his personal best time on that climb by over 2 minutes. He didn’t crack. He just got beat by arguably the best cyclist of all time

Even though Tad has had a relaxed time not over racing before the tour, he may have fired off some bullets too early going crazy in the first week, not just this stage.
Dude just broke his personal best and youtuber be like "nah, he has cracked". Okay.
When Pogi went ahead, Jonas should have stayed on the wheel of del Toro and just waited for Remco/Seixas/Kuss to catch up. Pogi would have still won but that group could have worked together to chase Pogi. Jonas cant reach tadej, but not cracked. Cracking would have mean losing time also from remco or even del toro. But clearly he did not.
Pogi was just too cracked that he dropped everyone on stage 6.
