the wtb horizons that came with my marin won't come off. so this is more of a vent post, I'd appreciate any suggestions.
as soap and pinching the tire didn't work, I choose violence. had the idea to cut the tire on its strongest part but … there's 4 (!!!) steel cables running along. managed to cut 2 but the other 2 are way too embedded into the rim. stopped working on it before I go up in flames.

I sometimes use woodworking clamps
Get yourself a dremel, will make quick work of cutting those wires

yeah I once fought that fight in front of my flat in Hamburg
Place wheel flat on the ground on a flattened cardboard box. Step on tire right next to the rim. Slowly lean your weight into it until the bead pops loose or you run out of weight.
