Its a conversion not an upgrade. One of the reasons y threadless is good because the connection from stem to fork is stiffer than quill stems. This setup still has flex at the adapter in the fork. Besides dont those treks use an oversized headtube for 1-1/8” forks and headsets. My 8000 has a 1-1/8” threaded fork,headset,and an oversized quill stems. I could only use a 1” stem if i used a shim in the fork
