Batavus BUB utility bike from circa 2012 that I have adapted for speed on and off the trails.
I stripped the bike to the frame and changed the tyres, bars, cranks, saddle, stem conversion, gold chain, pedals and it came out great.
With a 46/18 gear ratio it’s surprisingly snappy and works well on the trails.
11.2kg
Coaster brakes are installed as well as a free hub.

Pretty refreshing to see the opposite of the general xbiking pattern of taking a more sporting bike & turning it into a sedate commuter.
I’ve found that a lot of European commuter bikes have crazy tire clearance for the sake of the fenders, especially the ones that have longer chainstays. My anonymous gaspipe 26” commuter will fit 26×2.3s easily. I would suspect you have room to go bigger too.
Damn, that’s a nice frame
Love this!
I like that spoke pattern
Now this is innovative!
