    I’d personally look into a redshift suspension stem and/or seatpost. I’ve not done any long distance touring but use them on my main bike to help reduce vibration and associated fatigue in my hands and bum.

  2. Why would you want a fork that’s really hard to replace.
    Just go hardtail then with a more common fork system.
    Rigid steel is fine though.

    As others have mentioned, people have been touring the world for literally the last 150 years without suspension forks.

  3. Note that some airlines / airports won’t let you on the plane with air suspension AT ALL. Means you toss the fork.
