During the second COVID Christmas (2021), we were missing the Chaos Communication Congress, so a couple of friends and I decided to finally do something with some old bikes that someone had found in the trash.

We used a 26" MTB frame and a late-'90s BMX fork and front wheel. The whole thing was designed and built in just one week using only the parts and materials we had lying around.

It's been my daily cargo bike ever since.

    How did you make the fork longer to go with the longer steering tube? You just weld a longer tube?

    How did you did the paint effect? With a sponge, a brush, or some crumpled paper?
