Spray-on furniture polish is best to prevent dirt and mud from sticking. For those really muddy races, use PAM spray on everything. Old cyclocross trick! Keep it off your brakes though!

I’ve been curious about that Gemini chainring. How does it hold up? Is the aluminum core enough to make it wear closer to an aluminum chainring than a carbon one?
I think I’d be prepared to accept as little as 50% of the wear life of an aluminum chainring for the Gemini, since it saves a huge chunk of weight over the SRAM chainring (the SRAM aero chainring is insanely heavy). Most carbon chainrings don’t do anywhere near 50% of the life of an aluminum ring, so I’m very curious about the Gemini.

That rust – unavoidable based on conditions and race length? or would you change your lubrication for future race?
