My old bike was falling apart and tbh needed more work than it was worth, and my dad offered to give me his bike since he doesn’t ride anymore. I’m having such a good time riding around town for commuting and even errands sometimes. I can smell the smells, see neat plants and animals, and wave hi to the usual people on my route. Plus I’m getting some actual sunlight. And I’ve learned that door-to-door from home to work on my bike takes the same amount of time as driving because a chunk of my commute is driving to the top of the parking garage and then getting all the way to my store from there. The best part of my day is often when I ride my bike to work or ride it home. Sometimes I take a detour, just to extend the ride. Keep enjoying it and ride safe
