Hello fellow riders. I have a crack in the rivet/pin that inserts in the folding hinge as seen on the photo. Can you advise if this warrants a visit to a mechanic? Is this a safety-critical issue?

This is absolutely normal it happens when the pin is pressed in and flares nothing to worry about.

If this part goes, your bike falls apart so it needs to be replaced ASAP.
It need to be pop otherwise its not holding it properly
