First time working on a bike. How bad is this? No pointy bits anywhere on the rim, and its a budget road bike build. Thumb for size, I have pretty normal thumbs.
Bonus question: I have tubes with Presta valves, one was slowly letting air out without being pressed down, but it seems like the air was kept in when tightened. Other one did not do this. Bought a new tube and the same happened with that one. Is that normal?
Thanks

I would just straighten it best I can and send it,
I would probably be fine riding it like that. The presta valve thing is pretty normal and nothing to worry about
Salvageable. Will need a metal straight edge and a decent sized adjustable wrench.
Try to bend it back
Straighten it. If not, new rims.
no its bent , you can use an adjustable wrench to slowly straiten it back but it might explode one day from the metal warping and cracking !
Try to bend it back as well as you can, personally I’d just buy a used wheel on eBay though.
Thanks for the replies. I’ll try and straighten it. Almost done with the build, learned a lot these last few weeks.
