I may not agree with her politics (not sure because the article doesn't detail them), but I can get behind a candidate using this as a way to meet constituents.

Happy to see any government official getting out by bike to meet people
Anyone running in the US on a Republican ticket does not have the best interests of bikepackers (and any other outdoors enjoyers) in mind. This is a softball article written to convince people to vote for a candidate that in the end will defund wildlife and wilderness area projects and make this activity less accessible to so many more people. I dont mean to be a curmudgeon, but the GOP in the US is full of pedophile supporters and those who seek to privatize (and reduce) all our beautiful natural lands we seek to explore.
Famously pro-bike infrastructure those republicans…
Wisconsinite here, though I don’t live in this candidate’s district. Most Republicans here are downright hostile towards cyclists so this is definitely… a choice
Republicans notoriously love: biking, bike trails, & government owned land for recreational benefits.
Some of my favorite bikepacking routes are on land that is currently under threat from republican policies.
