  1. Blimey – that was a BIG ride round! Fair play to you! Nice to see Fred's old house in such good condition. Did you start off at Birchwood train station? ๐Ÿค”

  2. Very enjoyable thanks David . Yes I know the house well as my next door neighbour was a friend of Fred and we used to pop down often for a brew and a chat ..I donโ€™t know what all the cars were doing down the slope at the back of the house though.I also used to go to a physio called John Metcalf who also did some treatment to Fred and he told me that the wife who was a pub landlady actually spit on Fred on his hospital bed over money ect .I still watch the old videos and the one of Dart Mill in Bolton has my young brother in the crowd ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…A good run for you and fifty odd miles is epic!
Whilst you was in Bolton I did a loop through Latchford,Hatton ,Comberbach, into The Anderson Boat lift got a couple of snaps of the bike and went out and into the Marina Cafe for the best Scone ,cream, jam and coffee ever even better than Devon ยฃ8.50 you can go into the rear beer garden and sit overlooking the Marina. Out of there into Budworth village and back via Appleton Thorn and into Lymm ,Warby Bridge and the slog back from the Swan towards Cultheth (always windy) I will have a short run into Newton le Willows tomorrow and hopefully do a couple of decent runs when itโ€™s sunny mid week.
