Riding the iconic N-260 road in Northern Spain from Puigcerdà to Ripoll with the 2026 ChickenStrips tour group.

Welcome to something a bit different. From time to time, I’m dropping raw, unedited onboard helmet cam footage of the absolute greatest motorcycle roads on the planet. No fluff, no talking – just the bike, the road, and the twisties.

First up is a personal holy grail: the legendary N-260 in Northern Spain. Easily one of my top 10 roads to ride in the entire world. This specific 35-minute stretch takes us from Puigcerdà over to Ripoll, filmed live while riding with a cracking group on our 2026 ChickenStrips Pyrenees tour.

These are the iconic routes we actively hunt down on our tours. If you want the definitive bible on these incredible roads, they are all featured over on Simon Weir’s website: https://www.simonweir.co.uk

Turn the volume up, lean into your screen, and enjoy 35 minutes of pure biking heaven.

  1. Loved this, did N260 a couple of years ago doing a coast to coast. Spent a few days enjoying it. Finished each part of the route around 3.30 each day and was still smilling at bed time 😉🏍🏍

  2. I think a bit of patter helps just any old nonsense from yourself and group. Road is amazing exhaust sounds great and its good to watch everyones lines through corners, unedited is fine gives us more of a real view rather than clips picked by yourself. Defo add a wee bit more banter and you will have nailed it.

  3. Great video Bruce! Beautiful scenery and its great to see a bunch of bikes on tour. Just to buck the trend I would have preferred no talking and just the exhaust/engine noise.
I have heard what you've said in the past about how long it takes you to create your edits and I sympathise as a fellow creator! But, please tell me that you did not manually edit the speedo blanking overlay every time a warning message appeared!! I would have just blanked the entire dash for the duration of the video and had done with it – a lot less taxing 🙂

  4. Thanks Bruce, you've just sorted my first world dilemma out. Ridden the NC260 at pace on my super duke GT. Does life get better?? I have also rode my own route on my GS down the right mountain range on your video. Lot of single track roads and very twisty climbs. No one else about, just me. Biking heaven. Going in two weeks and couldn't decide which route?? As good as the NC260 is, the solitude wins!!

    Great video mate, thanks.

  5. Great road1 Not impressed by the rider in front of you; his positioning on blind lefts is appaulling, head and torso directly in line of any oncoming vehicle moving out to see into thei right-hander!

  6. Nice to see some sunshine and dry roads in Spain rather than the low cloud, rain and near freezing temps (snow covered Merc) on the Picos trip in May.
Did Simon wear out another set of tyres on that road or had he started with plenty of tread this time?

  7. The video was better to watch after you passed the car at 28mins ish ….. also without bikes been in-front of you. Ironically when I watch the video I like to feel as if I’m sat on the bike ……. And it felt frustrating for the first 28 mins that extra 5 10 mph when you passed the car made it feel real !!! As if I was part of the ride ?? …… I still like watching them …….. FYI we’re riding that in September…..

  8. Love the format but could't watch this. Less than a second behind the rider ahead, you're just asking for another tragedy. All that space, why the squeeze. You could tell right from the start the rider ahead was nervous of you riding his tail.

  9. I first found the N260 in 1998. Subsequently I made the pilgrimage many times since Not been for a while though so time for another visit methinks! Cheers for this Bruce.

  10. Just being on this bad boy last week what a road unbelievable, no matter how good the camera is or the person using it just never does it justice. I like this format not all the time though.

  11. I like this type of footage.
I have quite a few of my own like this which I store on YouTube but now I use a 360 camera and upload it as a 360 video so that I can spin the viewing angle around and see the scenery, or which ever direction I wish to look. It makes the videos different each time I watch them. They certainly bring back memories!

  12. The chap immediately in front of you had a habit of breaking on exit : not sure I could have tolerated that for long. Was there a no overtake rule for the group ?
