Albania to Italy by a Motorcycle ride: The Raw Reality of the Durres-Bari Ferry

Crossing the Adriatic with your bike sounds like a budget traveler’s dream, but is it? In this episode of my motorcycle journey to Mugello, I take the €98 ferry from Durres, Albania to Bari, Italy, and let’s just say… I made some mistakes so you don’t have to.

From camping on a freezing metal floor to dodging diesel fumes and dealing with an overheating phone, this wasn’t exactly a luxury cruise. I’m sharing the full process of boarding, the costs, and the one major decision that nearly ruined my 750km ride through Italy.

In this video:

How to navigate the Durres ferry terminal (and where to find the desk!)
The reality of “floor camping” vs. booking a cabin.
Budget tips for riding southern Italy (Blue roads vs. Green roads).
Why my Italian road “souvenirs” (scratches) happened.
Total costs for the ferry and fuel in Italy.

If you’re planning a cross-border motorcycle trip or heading to the Mugello MotoGP, watch this before you book your ticket!

Are you a fan of Italian roads or do you have a love-hate relationship with them like I do? Let me know in the comments!
