title says it all. For the past years I was using old but reliable Shimano Deore Pedals from the 80ies which still work great (but are installed on my old bike).

That’s a sexy frame. Honestly, I ditched cages years ago when I realized they looked pretty but sucked functionally vs clipless, and now I run flats with the exception of my fixed gear. Especially touring where I’m on and off the bike, clipless is more hassle than it’s worth.
For components, I’m surprised you’re going black over silver, which seems a better fit for the classic style and color of the Kepler.
I tour on Chesters with straps. I love the wider platform.
