The little German plate tag on the wheel is a nice touch. Schwinns over there gotta be a rare sight, bet you got a few double takes on the trail.

I‘ve surprisingly seen quite a few around town and pop up on “Kleinanzeigen“ in Berlin.
I do believe Schwinns were imported to West Germany, but were a bit of a niche thing compared to domestic brands. And definitely any city with a big American military or diplomatic presence probably has a few extra ones kicking around.
