Hello everyone!
My first time trying to fix my mechanical disc brakes (tektro md-c510), so sorry if i ask something stupid 😅
So i succesfully replaced the housing, cables, and pads. But no matter how I align the pads or how hard I pull the cable, the levers stay spongy. I spent hours adjusting them and trying different caliper positions but i seem to be missing something.
Help me end my nightmare with Tektro mechanical disc brakes!

Right side of the caliper. You need to screw it in until the pad is as close as possible without touching the rotor. 5mm Allen head
There are a couple of pad adjusters for 3mm Allen keys that will help you move the pads in and out which will help with the amount of cable pulled. What I do with my cable dice is set thx pads close, then tension the main cable so that the lever doesn’t need to move much to get the pads to contact the rotor. Also the inside pads. Get that as close to the disc as you can. This set up squeezes the the rotor by the outside pad pushing the rotor into the fixed inside pad. Getting this as close as you can, the amount of movement needed is reduced
Did you do the bedding in process? (Their manual calls it ‘breaking in’)
