Assuming:
* a very low risk area (at worst some parts are low or maaaaybe medium risk, by big city standards)
* the bike being kept in a safe place at home and at work, and generally not being left outside for too many hours in random places
* having various somewhat small and cheap bike-related things I’d want to leave on the bike at all times for convenience (example of things I’d want to leave on the bike at all times: multitool, packed poncho, rainlegs, bungee net, various bags and cords for holding cargo, etc)
**What would be the best way to leave these random small things on the bike, at all times**? I’d want something that would deter a casual thief, i.e. someone that would just see something directly on a locked bike and would grab it and go.
I’m fine with a determined/experienced thief stealing everything, since:
a) everything is relatively cheap and I can just buy them again
b) the odds of this determined/experience thief being around and targeting my ebike are quite low in my area
**I think something with a 5l capacity should be able to hold everything, but 10l would be even better.**
I had this idea before but this Cube Longtail really showed me that at least some bike designers have thought about this too. [The space in the down tube is not a battery, it’s actually a lockable box with 2 dividers.](https://www.cube.eu/de-en/cube-longtail-hybrid-725-blue-n-reflex/2f5220656ae9b73d9ac951d7f646c384)
Oh, this would be for a step-through, short tail cargo kind of ebike.
