My city had a bike parade with over 500 kids showing up with bikes. I was one of the only adults on bikes. All the other adults either walked or didn't participate. It's mind blowing how many parents won't ride a bike for their kids. I will ride a bike with my daughter every single time she wants.

Keep it up. We gotta show them the way.
Dude don’t even get me started. So many people just totally miss the idea that they might actually be *with* their kids at the skatepark, rather than dropping them off and/or being around but not present. So many half-assed “Good job!”s thrown in there hahaha.
But way to be normal. It will pay off immensely.
Alot of people are hung up on “kids things” . It’s pretty crappy….
So many people think they need to give up their hobbies and stuff after a certain age and that’s dumb. Why the heck would I want to stop something that brings me joy? Been riding almkst 30 years now and never plan to stop no matter how many “adults” think it’s child’s play.
Ride on
Riding with kid in fourth parade tomorrow!
That’s lame, I just went on a group slow ride with my kids, 6 / 7 yr and mostly adults, 200 people, they loved it.
The main reason I switched from skateboarding to BMX is because I had a kid, and the one thing that all kids like is bikes
At the local pump track, one of the kids pointed to me and said “big kid” to his mum, she laughed and said “yeah, big kid”, I’m nearly 60..!
I’m fortunate to live in a city that leaned hard into bike culture. We have a city-wide trail system, bike-accessible public transit, etc. Our events see thousands of adult riders (organized mayhem lol)
