    We pulled the truck out of “deep sleep mode” and she fired up without a hiccup. It’s good to be back in our truck and on the road. We loaded up the bikes and drove from Florida to Virginia to pick up Caleb. Then we made our way to Greenville, SC for George Hincapie’s Gran Fondo, a 81-mile ride around the Blue Ridge Parkway. Bikes offer us a closer look at the places we visit, and organized rides give us a reason to visit destinations we might not otherwise know about. Greenville, SC, was stunning, and we’ll surely visit again with our RV. You might see Tricia’s new nickname (“Super Duty Girl”) on the dash screen as we back into a spot. We were both glad to be back in our familiar truck, and we’re eager to hook up soon.

      Is Caleb liking college? Heartwarming to see he really misses his parents! Caleb, be careful! No skateboard or bike accidents, please. You don't want tens of thousands of people crying their eyes out!

      Ok Trish i would love to know the exact trek domane you were riding. I have the opposite problem my blood pressure drops. Seriously looking for an ebike. I have a trek road bike now and love it. Not an E. This was a great show. We have 3 kids/adults as well and we joke that the youngest would have been an only child. I.e. caleb skate board maneuver stay safe and good ride

      This one has to be one of my favorite videos! My husband and I just completed a LOT of biking around the Smokey's, and in Virginia Beach. What a great time. I'm so glad to see Caleb again – what a sport he is to do the ride even while not feeling well. I have a huge smile on my face that just isn't going away.
      Thanks again for making these videos. You guys are INSPIRING! It was your videos that convinced us to start the RV travel life after retiring last year. Thanks soooo much!

      I saw a hand pop out of the rear window at the beginning and thought “Caleb!!!” Busted big time, boy. Big brother’s always watching. Or should I say Big Poppy.

      Awesome episode and SOOOO appropriate to do my peloton to. Better than some dumb instructor. I had no problem with that 25% grade 😉.

      Just an interesting side story. I retired for the 3rd time in 2020 (thanks to the pandemic). I am now full-time in my Class A. From 2014 – 2020 I drove a Charter Bus … and one of my regular clients was the Marian University Cycling Teams (one of the very best collegiate cycling teams in the US. I drove all 5 teams, Road, Mountain, BMX, Cross and Track. When I stopped driving, they had already had 45 National. Championships. Also … one of my girls who did Mountain and BMX was in the Olympics for BMX, had 14 World Championship, and obviously races pro. What a grueling, tough, and often times dangerous sport. Just thought I'd share. Safe travels …. maybe I'll run across you guys on the road sometime. (I'm mostly SE … I have daughters in both Florida and Georgia)

      You need to hit 6 Gap & 3 Gap in Dahlonega, GA. It’s awesome, very well organized. I hope to hit Hincapie’s fondo next year.

      Also, too funny you drove to Lynchburg. I work for the second biggest employer there behind the university. I know EXACTLY what hotel you were at and where Caleb was e-skateboarding across the street there on Wards Rd. Small world.

      6 gap is 104 miles and 11,000’, but I did 3 Gap, just 58 miles and 6300’.

      Was driving east on I10 in NM on Nov 9 and my wife said she was fairly certain she saw your white ford with bed top and airstream in tow heading west towards AZ line. I told her no way they’re visiting Caleb in Lynchburg!
