The Romanian Mioritic Shepherd Dog is a large, powerful breed. Adult dogs typically weigh between 100 to 130 lbs 45 to 60 kg
Males are generally on the heavier and taller side, while females are slightly smaller but still boast a sturdy and muscular build.
Weight & Size Breakdown Average Weight: 100 – 130 lbs (45 – 60 kg)
Male Height: 27 – 30 inches (70 – 75 cm)
Female Height: 25 – 28 inches (65 – 70 cm)

Shepherd dogs (Mioritic and Carpatin) are calm but defend them family/ sheep. Low chances to encounter them but if you do, step back slowly looking at them. And shout "hello" (in Transilvania is from "Hallo" from German, or in ROmanian "Alo", the result is the same)
They defend the flock from bears and from wolfs. And they are successful on that. In general are clam doggos.

The "normal" dogs in villages, just pass them not slowing down or speeding up (if you speed up triggers them "hunting" instinct). They are usually scared if you pretend to get a rock and throw it in them, but that's just a temporary measure.

When you stop on the road make some noise to scare wild animals including vipers.

And if you see bunnies in the middle of the road..

As chat said, most dangerous are bipeds, listen to your guts. Is not "racist" to avoid to be robed or worst, as you judge the situation not propaganda, whomever they are.
Opportunistic theft is the worst (search "Furt geantă cu 2000 de euro și acte") also the "patented" method is one (or more, for example selling you something or accusing you of something) distract, the thief steal, pass it to the "arrow" (just behind the thief, his role is just to pass the stolen goods), and one that take the goods away in time you confront the thief, the one that distracted you or the arrow. Is an old method but always work.
They live like this for generations, so are good at it. Not Romanians, but recognizable..

Even so, most of the people are nice and helpful, and many know english.

Food is also ok, it may supercharge you with energy, as is a "peasant" food for people that worked the fields or something (now is making us fat).

Is not a "dangerous" country if you don't take unnecessary risks
