Can you run flat out through the middle of a busy town centre on a Saturday afternoon?
Today I’m taking on the “Up Aylesbury Town” Strava segment – a 420m dash through the heart of Aylesbury, passing pubs, cafés, Market Square and plenty of unsuspecting shoppers.
On paper it doesn’t sound too difficult. In reality, it’s a high-speed game of pedestrian slalom, with tight corners, narrow gaps and more than a few near misses along the way.
The route starts outside the White Hart, passes through The Exchange, under the archway and into Market Square before finishing outside the Queen’s Head.
The big question is: can I take the KOM?
