Mods to make it rideable and durable. My problem was that I’ve bought a new bike from UK online store, and certainly w/o warranty in my country. So to cut it short – it arrived as a quite unrideable piece of shit. Some parts were bad right from the box, other parts were broken within a couple of weeks. However, these sad moments turned me into a small kid building his new toy.

I’d say I really enjoyed mods though a learning curve was a bit unusual.

Only a frame, fork and a seatpost clamp are stock, other stuff were ditched into trash.

I hope Decathlon will make Brompton great again.

A rear wheel is just for test (8 speed Shimano XT cassette cogs 11-28). Currently I’ve switched back to trispoke rear wheel with conventional 7 speed option made of Shimano 105 cogs also 11-28.

It looks like you’ve done a great job, rebuilding teaches you all those little brompton nuances.

How do you propose Decathlon will “make Brompton great again” ?
