My Destination is Istanbul.
Rather go through northern Greece or go through athens and then Take a ferry and reach Istanbul from the other direction?:) the Red Line ist Just a suggestion. I dont know the excat route yet. Whereas from Thessaloniki to Istanbul there is not much of a choice regarding a route, i sinply would Stick to the sea
Edit: female, solo, but Made it through the Balkans safely haha, and Not afraid. Just FYI, If i should consider this in the decision.

You should experience the hospitality in Turkey if you haven’t been before. So red route 🙂
If you follow the red line there is a ferry from bandirma to Istanbul if you want to skip Istanbul traffic.
