Ideally get, or 3D print, some of the inserts. Otherwise you’ll end up with the tube tearing at the base of the valve. They are akin to this: [https://www.perennialcycle.com/schrader-to-presta-valve-rim-adapter.html](https://www.perennialcycle.com/schrader-to-presta-valve-rim-adapter.html)

Better than nothing but certainly not as good as a gromet that’ll keep the valve from moving. As an on-the-trail fix I think it’d work fine but the next bike shop I popped in I’d ask if they had one.. wouldn’t make an emergency trip or anything

If I recall, on some tube brands you can flip the nut and use it as an adapter for presta to schrader

What I did when fitting a presta tube to a schrader rim is… I put a valve nut on each side of the rim on the valve (one inside/one outside, with the little lip side facing the rim to fill the void. Keeps the valve from moving around in the hole. Still going strong years later

For Schrader holes I put the nut at the base of the valve (to protect the tube), then wrap 2 or 3 inches of gorilla tape around the valve (to center the valve). You could do the same thing with less tape.

Probably going to be fine

Flip the nut over and use the chamfered edge to centre the stem in the hole?

I have used Presta valves in Schrader rims with just the valve nut tightened down when I could buy a Schrader tube and never had issues (at least not at the valve stem 😅). Maybe I was lucky.
