Hi !
Here’s my almost finished ATB !
A very fun bike, that I’ve imagined to travel slowly and comfortably but cross Paris à toute berzingue

Here’s the detail :
Modified softride frame
Crankbrother cobalt 27.5
Schwalbe g one allround 27.5 x 2.6
Stridsland bar and threadless headset
Paul stem
Hope mini mono
Home made racks and frame bag
Dop cycling fork
Garbaruk crank and spider
Atelier medium chainring
Hope pedals
Brooks saddle
Spirgrips
SRAM and discs that was in the part bin

Details on the frame modifications :
Disc brake tab and reinforcement
Rack tabs
Bottle cages tabs under the down tube
Chainstays and seatstays dimpling
Dropout « reimagined »

It definitely need a longer stem and I was thinking of the redshift suspension stem as Softride originally made there own. I’m also trying to use e-bike lamps with an usb power bank with 12v power delivery. And I can’t wait to try the growtac equal brakes, way too many people love them, that’s weird !

And finally I’m planning a full year of riding before going for a paint job, just to be sure.

Please stop me in Paris to give it a try, definitely worth it !
Have a nice day !

  1. What are the advantages to a frame like this? No hate, but it looks so fucking stupid to me.

  2. This bike is what I would imagine a bounty hunter in a post-petroleum dystopian future would ride

Dude that thing rips. It’s actually kind of mad how practical that frame shape is now I’ve seen it loaded with bags.

    Epic build!

    Peak Xbiking

More deets on the frame por favor (material, cost etc)

    I love the sillouette

The Brooks on a softride is such a scene stealer, it’s easy to miss the spokes. What’s that situation about? Also in #3, a rack mounted rack is actually peak xbiking.

  6. Part of the reason I like the 90s for bicycles, particularly MTBs, is because of the wild wide variety of frame designs.
