Those VPD 2.0’s have saved my knees from total destruction twice now. The last one was so bad my knee still got severely bruised so I hate to think what would have happened without them!

Where is the elbow protection? Gloves?
I have been cleaning my husband’s biking wounds for 20 years and been guiding and coaching for 8. The most common injury that I have to perform first aid on is elbows/forearm and hands.

Idk I would have elbow pads before chest armor but that depends on how big of jumps you’re hitting

I recommend elbow pads. I had a small bail while riding Whistler and my elbow and knee pads saved a lot of my skin.

Elbow pads not needed. Good kit.

Don’t listen to the chuds, elbow pads just get in the way

Kudos for the pink helmet I have the same one. The outfit looks nice but we always joke when we see someone riding for the looks and not functionality. The joke is the wider the pants the more skill it adds (like rgb in computers and fps). Yes of course you do you and it does actaully look cool but isn’t better to use clothes that are made for sports especially in the heat? I usually soak my breathable bike stuff so this feels like even more hell in hot weather. Plus a white tshirt, the joke for white clothes on mtb goes that you must be sponsored in order to afford ride in that.
But I mean no hate, have fun and wear what you want!

Googles or glasses? Gloves for me but that is a personal preference. Is it going to be warm? I only wear pants when it’s sub 50f here, but also preference.

POC VPD 2.0 is the good shit. I got both the elbow and knee pads, fell on them a few times and barely noticed anything.
