I bought this contraption off Marketplace and it is in original, almost like-new condition. I’m doing a light restomod build on it and would like to change the shifter from a grip shift to a trigger style shifter. The rear hub is a Shimano Nexus 7-speed hub so the shifter would need to be compatible.
I’ve combed the internet for information and have found that a few different Microshift and Shimano trigger style shifters were made for the rear hub but have been discontinued. Where can I find one of these elusive shifters? Any help is greatly appreciated.

You could always go friction shift
A tall order, I think. If it’s any consolation, Nexus twist shifters are way better than the cheap shitty ones they put on department store derailleur bikes.
Microshift produces trigger shifters for a variety of models. [This one](https://www.microshift.com/models/sl-n757/) should work.
