Orbea! Itโs difficult to find a small frame in the US right now. My local bike shop recently turned me on to Orbeaโฆ good value, small frame availability, and amazing color customization. ๐๐ Will place my order as soon as I land on my color combo ๐
Theyโre climbing Mt. Everest six times? How do they get from France to wherever that is??
Mad that the S-works Tarmac is slap bang in the middle ๐ฎ
Look ๐
Actually surprised to see the Filante in that Red so low in the list. ๐ฎ. Still more bikes to be launched before the tour though โฆ
Decathlon is with Sram ๐
Ha, I can almost afford a wheel!
When it was founded, MMR stood for โManuel Menendez Rodriguezโ, the name of the founder. Later the current ownership changed it to โMachines Made for Racingโ.
Nice! My guess is COFIDIS will be on a new LOOK Blade 795RS, which won't be called the Blade 796, unless you know something I don't ;). It will likely be just as expensive as the current model though! We may find out June 30th which I'm guessing will be the official release day
Looking forward to the Women's race edition of this one, thanks.
That is very well. But price does not say anything about aerodynamics etc., which would tell a lot more about which is best on specs.
Drumrol for the top 3 maybe it was beter in the reversed order So drumrol for the cheapist bike.๐
This is probably one of the worst videos in terms of prep before the recording and data misrepresentation since that journey to silverstone efficiency rig to test out shoes
It would be interesting to see an update after the tdf, how did the most expensive bike do? How did the cheapest bike do?
What's bang on insane is that you can buy a really nice middleweight motorcycle for almost any one of those bikes.
I guess my steel frame Fuji Feather fixed gear bike doesn't really compete….
Wasn't the aero one? Why R5 and not the S5?
Alexโs history of accurately pricing components is slightly chequered (ยฃ100 for used Dura Ace cranks) ๐ค ๐
So, if any of these bikes are impossible to buy for the general public in the TDF, then how can they possibly be legal for the TDF? I have always believed that the kit for these riders had THE requirement that everything was available for sale to the general public, it is not! The larger chainring cranks are an exclusive to TDF and pro riders ONLY and not available for sale. On your list are entire bike configurations that are ONLY FOR TDF RIDERS! It is a lie therefore that the rules are that they be available for sale to the public!
The Total Enegries bike shown in the video (both pictures) is actually the Litening Air rather than the Litening Aero (I think the team use both?).
Only people that care about this are the posing yuppies
It was interesting to watch you describe the Decathlon team's bike, that they use Shimano components, and in the pictures the bike was equipped with Sram ๐
meanwhile im about to buy the nicest bike and possibly item i've ever owned and it doesn't even crack the bottom the list lmao
The order was backwards. First place should go to the least expensive bike. The goal is not to spend the most money on equipment.
Many NPC looking bikes this year. Look still looking good, but not as nice as last year. The blue Pinarello and Canyon look nice tho. The rest is merely whelming.
Wowzer !! even the cheapest>ยฃ6k let alone 15th>ยฃ10k…I call Ridiculously PRICEY!!! never mind the most PRICEY Colnago > ยฃ14.5k….for bicycles!!! ๐ฒ….where as I'm absolutely loving my 2016 BOARDMAN MX Sport ATB XL> at mates rate ยฃ20.00…๐
Visma Lease a Bike? Glaring error to miss them out unless Iโve not seen news they wonโt be attending?
How about the shimano neutral service bike?
Curioso saber que las tres bicicletas mรกs caras son, al mismo tiempo, las mas feas…ยก!
Decathlon CMA CGM runs SRAM since January.
How much should I spend on a big brand bicycle to get to at least 80% of a speed of slowest TdF participant?
Sinceramente la MMR es de lo mejor calidad precio, cuadro Aero polivalente, buenas ruedas, peso bueno, Buenos componentes y un precio imbatible ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
special shoutout to the Movistar rider a whisker away from pedal strike. Knows that bike like the back of his hand
Cervelo R5? Visma mostly ride the S5
Are you sure the MMR is the correct model? The Team is listed for 5499โฌ but it doesn't have Dura Ace. The Dura Ace model is WAY more expensive
The Canyon bikes may give the most bang for your bucks. They are very good bikes for almost half the cost of a Colnago.
Actually I'm quite disappointed that there are no ยฃ20k+ bikes in the race. I mean, are they afraid of breaking them or what, why not go all in while you're at it?
I love seeing all the different brands out there. It's a good reminder that there are many options for the serious rider or racer to have a competitive bike without spending top dollar.
Thanks for the video
The royal blue Pinarello Dogma F that PinarelloโQ36.5 are running is beautiful… But the sadly unused candy apple red Pinarello Dogma frame behind Alex's head on the shelf makes me drool every time I watch a GCN video… outside my budget but it's a pretty thing
Absolute crazy prices and all this shit made in China. In 10 years time majority of this company will go broke with Chinese company finally made their brands
I love this. Thanks for sharing
Something for "GCN does science": The rear tire is the driving tire. Shouldn't it have higher air pressure to be more efficient? Rolling resistance test pressures(as we know them) should only be utilized for the front wheel? Would be nice to see a X km climb using different air pressures on the rear tire.
