Been going back and forth on bar tape vs kieren grips as well as red vs black vs brown vs green what do you guys think? I dont really like the look of tape that much but it might be worth it for the comfort

Black sparkle kieren grips is always the answer!
White bar tape would look awesome if you’re willing to keep it clean.
I ran Yoshida Champ grips, the thiccest ones, on some risers for a while. They looked cool, but the grip wasn’t great and they weren’t comfortable, especially on any ride longer than a short, few-mile blast. If you’ve got glass-smooth roads to glide over, they’re probably fine.
For bullhorns and drops, my favourite is Lizard Skins tape. Grippy as fuck and comfy.

I like leather bar tape – and Lizard skins for non leather. I like to wrap Nitto RB-001 bars to the stem – gripping the down sloping part of the bars is another super comfortable grip with these bars 🙂
