With nobody to actively enforce the regs then it's essentially legal. This won't change and things will only get worse
Chuffing big lorry to be sat on the zigzags too. I feel for the drivers delivering the goods but parking on zigzags isn't the answer.
Having driven a truck and delivered in London. You have no idea how difficult it is. Swanning about on a bicycle. You bunch of bed wetters! It's hilarious they do cycle aware courses make hgv drivers go on bicycles. How about the other way round?! Wishy washy sanctimonious wankers enjoy the bed wetting.
He's definitely in the wrong but just imagine driving something that big, you've got no idea keyboard warriors.
Drivers are already well aware. You don't even need to drive to an especially high standard to pass your test, merely competently and legally. Just continue to that standard would make a big difference. Hgv drivers presumably have a higher level test. Again, continue to drive to that standard.
If its the same supplier to the same shop it will keep happening. To the driver that's his delivery spot.
Very inconsiderate
👍👍👍👍
Same idiots moaning would be up in arms if the shops were empty morons.
Wagon wankers do as they please!
Mikey you would not believe the number of times l have reported vehicles parked in the zig-zag zones in Chelmsford, the police have absolutely no interest in making anything of it.
But l bet if hurty words are printed on any forum they will swarm likes bees on a honeypot..
Keep up the good work.
When you go into a shop you expect things to be in it . How do you think they get there.
Such a little sad act going about snitching on anybody he can
I drive an HGV and just quickly on Google Maps there at Arminger Rd before the truck, a cul-de-sac back yourself in and hazards, better planning, than where he was, yes, still on the give way, but far better than the zig-zags, 30 sec of planning. I'm up north, so I don't know the area.
you should have called the police on 101 there and then
I reported a driver for the same offence, he told me he had permission from the police to park on the zigzag. I filmed it and sent it to the police. He was not happy.
Report it to the South East and Metropolitan Traffic Commissioner. They enforce (amongst other things) HGV Driver good conduct.
Well done Mikey 🌟
0:10 – URGENT note to council town planners – you missed a tree to chop down. Wankers.
Looking at where the HGV is parked, it’s not actually parked between the zigzag markings, but between the left hand most zigzag line and the kerb. This raises the question as to whether the zigzag zone is restricted to the space between the two zigzag lines or whether it extends to the kerb if there’s a significant gap as in this case. The other question that it raises is why is the zigzag not against the kerb?
Provision should be made – no pun intended – to allow safe legal parking for these deliveries. Zig Zags clearly are neither safe nor legal.
As an Ex HGV driver we were instructed to action a DRA ( Dynamic Risk Assessment ) at a delivery point . In this case the goods would have returned to the depot and the cost applied to the client. No suitable delivery area to unload. The client soon sorts a better solution.
I feel like if there is no alternative but to sti mmit on a zig zags for a delivery then there should be a banksman to mitigate the risk to the public. I'm not simping for bad parking but if you need to turn you need to make sure the risk is minimal.
A driving offence, rather than a parking offence. Impossible to have sympathy for a driver stopping in such an obviously-dangerous position, never mind the ridiculousness of putting his hazards on as if they problem was people not noticing that he was there!
You must be very proud of yourself.
Hi Mikey,
Nicely done. That was terrible from the truck driver, really should know better. I worked for an industrial plumbing supply company 40 years ago. Back then drivers were always told not to do this from the company. Not only dangerous but bad press for the business.
Another one bites the dust.
What the complainers need are empty shelves when they go for their lentils and broccoli. Yes. AND no spares in their local bike shop because the bloody delivery van couldn't get parked.
I have to say I feel sorry for the lorry driver London seems to be a nightmare for delivery drivers it's not a job I'd want in a million years.
Lazy, should have turned it round and parked on bus stop to unload at the very least.
How exactly do you expect them to deliver pallets without a tailgate on a road with tons of bollards there to protect your precious cycle lane?
Knowing that there are delivery problems where they own a shop, perhaps the owner should be going to the Cash & Carry for their stock. That's what most small shop owners do. Well done Mikey, the message of poor road use is getting through thanks to people like you. Unfortunate for the lorry driver, but they know the law, and chose to ignore it.
Didn't I just watch another video with the same shop front, different lorry?
