This is a rare ride that takes you so close to the Tiefenbach Glacier that you can almost touch it. To get there, you follow the stunning Ötztal Glacier Road. It starts in the lovely Tyrolean town of Sölden. You ride through town as a short warm-up. The ride then takes you up through the forest. The road has mostly double-digit gradients, so it is not an easy ride. Midway, you get to a short descent, from here, and for the rest of the ride, you are free of the forest and can enjoy unobstructed views of the glaciers and the mountains. As you get to the Rettenbach Glacier Resort, you turn to the left and ride through a tunnel. The tunnel takes you to the Tiefenbach Glacier Resort. From here you continue up a very steep gravel road which takes up to almost 3000 meters. The ride ends just in front of a few snowmobiles parked on the glacier.
Take your indoor cycling to the next level with our indoor cycling app Open Road:
Dive into an immersive indoor cycling experience with our training app ’Open Road’ for Windows. The app lets you ride the ride for real and provides a better and more realistic indoor cycling experience compared to our ride-along videos on YouTube. The app is compatible with all ANT+ cycling devices, including smart trainers, power meters, and speed sensors. Athletes with spinning and exercise bikes without ANT+ compatibility can control the speed manually and enjoy riding with all the important cycling data displayed during the training session.

Just add music:
Most cyclists would agree that the ride to Col du Tourmalet is outstanding. But with music, opinions are very mixed. So we have added no music. Instead, we recommend adding your favorite music to the ride. It is quite simple. Mute YouTube and open a browser window. Find a site that offers music (Spotify, YouTube, etc…) and pick the music you like, and enjoy the ride… We have left the original sound of the ride out. This is because the noise from passing cars, vibrations from the road, wind, and the rider’s breathing drowns the natural sound of the surroundings.

Thanks for making these! Beautiful ride!
This is brilliant. Pretty tough ride. Couple of wild sweeping descents thrown in
Not sure about a 1.6km 8% tunnel near top but means to a gravel road ending.
