Has anyone done all 3 and if so what was your favourite? I liked Ventoux the best even though it's isolated and not in a range like the others then probably the Pyrenees. I absolutely loved Tourmalet. The scenery was probably more dramatic in the alps but it's something about the Pyrenees that felt more enjoyable, I can't quite put my finger on it, perhaps because it was quieter.

  1. Think I’d also go with the Pyrenees. Such amazing roads and cute little quiet towns. Alps are more impressive, Ventoux as well (the surrounding area is gorgeous to ride, if not as dramatic), but you just can’t beat the vibes of the Pyrenees.

  2. I’ve only done dolomite part of the alps and i have to say it was my favourite out of these three but while i was doing it it was hell. I had no idea about the dolomites before i saw them in the distance and i got major fever in the middle of them and had to stay in bed for three days so it was hell but now when i look back it was my favourite place to cycle

  3. Superphilipp on

Seen all three, loved all three. I‘ll revisit the Alps more I guess, if only because there’s so much more yet to discover.

  4. I’ve toured all three many times but return to the Alps and Pyrenees often. the Alps is a lot larger than the Pyrenees so more opportunities.
