Áspero or Defy?
Trying to choose between the Giant Defy Advanced 2 or Cérvelo Áspero GRX RX610 as my first bike with drop bars.
I would be riding about 70/30 road and gravel (attached images of said gravel). The Aspero costs 2500€ and the Defy 2300€. I liked the Defy because I thought it was good value but online there are mixed opinions on using it as an “all road” bike.

I’d ride this on a road bike honestly. Both of the bikes you’re considering are more than fine for this.
defy seems to be spec’d with 105 and the cervelo with grx so really the choice is pretty clear.
Id probably go with whatever has bigger tire clearance. Or whatever looks better to you.
Both great bikes, but the defy gets my vote. Nothing very scientific, but I’ve owned two, and have been very happy. My current defy is my fast group ride weapon, but has also served on multi day gravel only bike packing trips.
Id also consider the revolt. If you’re planning on riding any gravel on a regular basis, having the ability to run wider tires is very underrated.
