£1 per mile approximately. What were your budgets like?

Both these trips were roughly 2000 miles and I roughly took 2 grand which leads to the simple maths. This allowed me to have some hotels, some restaurant meals, some campsites and then some nights I slept at the side of the road, in the woods or in bus stops and ate Tuna on bread. A mix of luxury & roughing it depending on my mood and location. Interested to hear what people spend on average and how they like spending.
